Milligan, Tennessee Wesleyan and Union all finished the regular season with identical 5-1 conference records and all three are AAC regular-season tri-champions. However, Tennessee Wesleyan will be the No. 1 seed with Union No. 2 and Milligan No. 3 due to the tie-breaker system. By being the No. 1 seed, Tennessee Wesleyan will have a first-round bye and host the semifinal and championship rounds.
Also, because Bluefield had a goal differential 2 fewer than Montreat, Bluefield will be the No. 6 seed and Montreat the No. 7 since they tied during the regular season.
