- Won the 165-pound weight class at the Life U Open.
- Defeated the NCAA Division II No. 1-ranked David Hunsberger of Lander (S.C.) in the semifinal round by an 11-4 decision.
- Won 11-4 in the final over Brent Nicolosi of NCAA Division II Mount Olive (N.C.).
- After receiving a first-round bye, went 5-0 in the tournament.
- This is his first weekly honor of the year.
