Johnson's Perry Named 2025-26 AAC Athletic Director of the Year
WALESKA, Ga. - Brandon Perry of Johnson is the 2025-26 Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Athletic Director of the Year, the league announced Thursday.
The award was voted on and selected by the athletic directors of the AAC.
The last two years at Johnson have seen significant growth. Johnson competes in 12 sports and earned three national tournament births in men's basketball, softball, and baseball. The Royals shared AAC regular-season titles in women's volleyball and softball, and won a tournament title in men's basketball. Baseball finished the season sixth in NAIA and made its first trip to the World Series. Johnson also went from 10th overall in the Duard Walker All-Trophy standings to sixth.
Johnson added cross country this season and launched men's volleyball and swimming for 2026-27.
Perry serves as a member of the AAC Advisory Committee.
This is the first time Perry has received this award.
