AAC Announces Baseball Players of the Week
ASHEVILLE, N.C. - Ryan Horvath of Union is the Appalachian Athletic Conference Baseball Player of the Week, the league announced on Monday. There was no one selected for Pitcher of the Week.
This is the first time Horvath has won this award in his career.
Horvath batted .500 on the week and had a home run, two doubles, a triple and five RBIs on the week. He belted a two-run home run, which proved to be the game winner against St. Andrews in a 7-5 decision. He has raised his batting average to .336 over the last few weeks, recording a hit in six of the last eight games on the regular season.
This is the final week for the weekly honors.
