Reinhardt, Bryan Remain Alive in NAIA Opening Round

ASHEVILLE, N.C. - Reinhardt and Bryan kept their postseason hopes alive on Tuesday as both staved off elimination to play another day in the NAIA Baseball National Championship Opening Round.
In the Montgomery Bracket, Reinhardt scored a run in the ninth to force extra innings before rallying for five runs in the 10th to eliminate Keiser (Fla.) 11-6. Lance Dockery went 2-for-4 with two RBI and three runs scored, while Nick Sanders and Shayne Campbelle each picked up two RBI.
Reinhardt faces No. 1 seed Ottawa (Kan.) on Wednesday at 3 p.m. ET in another elimination game. The Eagles lost a 5-4 heartbreaker to the Braves in the first round on Monday. The winner advances to the championship round to face host and No. 2 seed Faulkner (Ala.) at 7 p.m. ET in the championship round.
In the Upland Bracket, Bryan eliminated host and No. 3 seed Taylor (Ind.) 6-1 to keep its season afloat. The Lions seized control with a four-run second and never looked back. Parker Cosby led the Bryan offense with two RBI.
Bryan faces No. 2 seed Northwestern Ohio on Wednesday at 3 p.m. ET in an elimination game. The winner advances to face No. 1 seed Southeastern in the championship round at 7 p.m. ET.
