Tennessee Wesleyan Picked to Win 2023 Baseball Championship
WALESKA, Ga. - Tennessee Wesleyan is picked to win the 2023 Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Baseball Championship, according to the AAC Coaches' Preseason Poll released Tuesday.
The baseball coaches of the AAC voted.
Tennessee Wesleyan received 11 of the 12 first-place votes for a total of 132 voting points to claim the top spot. The Bulldogs finished the 2022 season with a 56-8 overall record and won the AAC regular-season championship with a 27-3 league mark. Tennessee Wesleyan won the tournament title and advanced to the NAIA World Series.
Reinhardt collected the remaining first-place vote and 122 points to land second.
Milligan (106 points), Bryan (94 points), and St. Andrews (83 points) round out the top five.
The top 10 teams in the conference will advance to the 2023 AAC Tournament, which is set for May 2-6.
