Week 5: AAC Baseball Players of the Week
WALESKA, Ga. - Daniel Willie of Montreat and Andre Tarver of Tennessee Wesleyan are the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Baseball Pitcher and Player of the Week, the league announced Monday.
This is the fifth edition of the weekly honors for the 2023 season. The next set of awards will be announced on March 27.
AAC Pitcher of the Week
Daniel Willie - Montreat - Senior - Ooltewah, Tenn.
- Struck out 12 in 10 innings of work against Truett McConnell.
- Montreat ended up lossing the game 4-1 in 14 innings.
- Allowed 1 earned run on 4 hits and 2 walks.
- This is his first weekly honor this season.
AAC Player of the Week
Andre Tarver - Tennessee Wesleyan - Sophomore - Ringgold, Ga.
- Batted .636 in helping Tennessee Wesleyan to a 2-1 record on the week.
- Had 1 home run and 3 doubles for a 1.182 slugging percentage.
- Drove in 7 runs and scored 6 times as well.
- This is his first weekly award this season.
