Turner Hauls in Third Men's Basketball Weekly Honor

ASHEVILLE, N.C. - Markelle Turner of Union is the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Men's Basketball Players of the Week, the league announced Monday.

This is the 14th and final edition of the weekly honor for the 2020-21 season.

AAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week

Markelle Turner - Union - Soph. - Barbourville, Ky.

• Scored 35 points and dished out 9 assists in Union's 95-73 AAC Tournament win over Bryan.
• Shot 60 percent (6-for-10) from 3-point range.
• Hit 11-of-20 shots from the field.
• Grabbed 5 rebounds as well.
• This is his third weekly honor this season.
