2022 Tournament Bracket Releases; Union Earns No. 1 Seed
KINGSPORT, Tenn. - The regular season ended in a fury on Saturday, and now the bracket for the 2022 Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Men's Basketball Tournament is set with Union earning the No. 1 seed.
All 13 teams advanced to the tournament, and there will be five first-round games played on Monday, Feb. 21, at the higher seeds' home site. As the No. 1 seed, Union receives a first-round bye as well as an automatic berth to the NAIA National Championship Tournament. No. 2 seed Montreat and No. 3 seed Reinhardt also receive first-round byes.
The five first-round winners will join Union, Montreat, and Reinhardt in the quarterfinal round. The final three rounds will be held at the MeadowView Marriott Convention Center & Conference Resort in Kingsport, Tenn., on Feb. 24-26. The tournament champion will receive an automatic berth to the national tournament. Should Union win the tournament, the regular-season runner-up will receive the second bid.

*-Montreat defeated Union twice during the regular season to earn the tie-breaker over Reinhardt.
**-Truett McConnell went 5-1 against Columbia International, Tennessee Wesleyan, and Bluefield combined to earn the No. 5 seed. Columbia International defeated Montreat twice to earn the No. 6 seed, while Tennessee Wesleyan beat Montreat once to get the No. 7 seed.
***-Kentucky Christian went 2-0 against Johnson to earn the No. 10 seed.
