Week 2: AAC Men's Lacrosse Players of the Week
WALESKA, Ga. - Ty Grooms of Cumberlands and Nick Sheaffer of Webber International are the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Men's Lacrosse Defensive and Offensive Players of the Week, the league announced Monday.
This is the second edition of the weekly honors for the 2026 season. The next set of awards will be announced on Feb. 23.
AAC Defensive Player of the Week
Ty Grooms - Cumberlands - Senior
- Scooped up a career-high 12 ground balls in a 15-11 win over Tennessee Wesleyan.
- Caused 1 turnover.
- This is his first weekly award this season.
AAC Offensive Player of the Week
Nick Sheaffer - Webber International
- Tallied 8 goals and 1 assist in a 19-4 win over Columbia.
- Fired 15 total shots with 13 going on goal.
- This is his first weekly award this season.
