Week 2: AAC Men's Soccer Players of the Week
ASHEVILLE, N.C. - Pedro Moreira of Union and Pavel Dashin of Reinhardt are the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Men's Soccer Defensive and Offensive Players of the Week, the league announced on Monday.
This is the second edition of the awards for the 2021 season. The next set of awards will be announced on Sept. 13.
AAC Defensive Player of the Week
Pedro Moreira - Union - Senior - São Paulo, Brazil
- Recorded 7 saves in a 2-1, double-overtime win over No. 14 Northwestern Ohio.
- The goal he allowed was via a penalty kick, and it's the only goal Union has allowed this season.
- This is his first weekly honor of the season.
AAC Offensive Player of the Week
Pavel Dashin - Reinhardt - Junior - Krasnodar, Russia
- Helped Reinhardt to a 2-0 record on the week, scoring 3 total goals.
- Had 2 goals in a 3-2 win over Life (Ga.).
- Added another goal in a 3-2 win over NCAA Division II Southern Wesleyan (S.C.).
- This is his first weekly honor of the season.
