Milligan Expected to Claim Men's Soccer Championship
WALESKA, Ga. - Milligan is the team to beat in the hunt for the 2023 Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Men's Soccer championship, according to the AAC Coaches' Preseason Poll released on Monday.
The poll was voted on by the men's soccer coaches of the AAC.
Milligan garnered six of 13 first-place votes in ascending to the top spot with 172 points. Columbia International earned five first-place votes to land second with 164 points. Last season, Milligan won the regular-second title with a 9-1-3 league mark, while Columbia International won the conference tournament as the No. 2 seed.
Tennessee Wesleyan (161), Union (137), and Reinhardt (136) round out the top five.
Eight teams will advance to the AAC Tournament which begins on Nov. 3 with the championship match currently set for Nov. 11.
