Week 4: AAC Men's Soccer Players of the Week
WALESKA, Ga. - Adam Di Millo of Pikeville and Callum Edwards of Union are the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Men's Soccer Defensive and Offensive Players of the Week, the league announced on Monday.
This is the fourth edition of the awards for the 2023 season. The next set of awards will be announced on Sept. 25.
AAC Defensive Player of the Week
Adam Di Millo - Pikeville - Junior - Vaughn, Ontario
- Recorded 1 shutout and 12 saves as Pikeville finished the week 1-0-1.
- Made 2 saves in a 5-0 win over Alice Lloyd (Ky.).
- Tallied 10 saves in a 2-2 draw at Johnson.
- This is his first weekly honor of the season.
AAC Offensive Player of the Week
Callum Edwards - Union - Freshman - Preston, England
- Tallied 4 goals on the week as Union went 2-0 the week.
- Scored both goals in a 2-0 win at Bluefield.
- Added 2 more goals in a 5-2 against St. Andrews.
- Had the game-winner in both games.
- This is his first weekly honor of the season.
