Week 6: AAC Men's Soccer Players of the Week
WALESKA, Ga. - Cristobal Romero of St. Andrews and Inaki Moreno of Milligan are the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Men's Soccer Defensive and Offensive Players of the Week, the league announced on Monday.
This is the sixth edition of the awards for the 2023 season. The next set of awards will be announced on Oct. 9.
AAC Defensive Player of the Week
Cristobal Romero - St. Andrews - Senior - Santiago, Chile
- Made 10 saves as St. Andrews went 0-0-2 on the week.
- Had 7 saves in a 1-1 draw against Columbia International.
- Added 3 saves in a 0-0 draw versus Truett McConnell.
- This is his first weekly honor of the season.
AAC Offensive Player of the Week
Inaki Moreno - Milligan - Grad Student - Tarragona, Spain
- Tallied 1 goal and 5 assists on the week as Milligan went 2-0 the week.
- Had a goal and an assist in an 4-0 win against Bluefield.
- Dished out 4 assists in a 6-1 win at Johnson.
- This is his first weekly honor of the season.
