Week 9: AAC Men's Soccer Players of the Week

WALESKA, Ga. - Alejandro Iglesias of Pikeville and Yali Cohen of Pikeville are the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Men's Soccer Defensive and Offensive Players of the Week, the league announced on Monday.

This is the ninth edition of the awards for the 2025 season. The next set of awards will be announced on Oct. 27.

AAC Defensive Player of the Week
Alejandro Iglesias - Pikeville - Freshman 

• Recorded 2 wins and made 8 saves.
• Allowed 1 goal and made 5 saves in a 2-1 win at Milligan.
• Posted a shutout and had 3 saves in a win over Reinhardt.
• This is his first weekly honor of the season.

AAC Offensive Player of the Week
Yali Cohen - Pikeville - Junior 

• Had a goal and an assist as Pikeville went 2-0 on the week.
• Delivered the assist on the equalizer before scoring the game-winner in the 2-1 win over Milligan.
• This is his first weekly honor of the season.
