Week 1: AAC Men's Swimmer of the Week

WALESKA, Ga. - Carmine Bernardo of WVU Tech is the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Men's Swimmer of the Week.

The league announced the award on Monday.

This is the first edition of the awards for the 2025-26 season. The next set of awards will be announced on Oct. 27.

• Posted 5 first-place finishes (4 individual, 1 relay) during his first three meets of the season.
• Hit the NAIA 'B' Cut in the 200 butterfly with a time of 1:56.21.
• Had top-5 finishes in 7 of 13 races.
• Posted personal bests in the 100 butterfly (52.48) and 200 butterfly (1:56.21).
• This is his first weekly honor of the season.
