Week 1: AAC Men's Outdoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week

WALESKA, Ga. - Elijah Goddard of Truett McConnell and Nicholas Blann of Union Commonwealth are the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Men's Outdoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week, the league announced Monday.

This is the first edition of the weekly honors for the 2026 season. The next set of awards will be announced on March 23.

AAC Track Athlete of the Week
Elijah Goddard - Truett McConnell - Sophomore

• Won both the 100 and 200 at the SWU Gotta Run Invite.
• Logged a time of 10.64 seconds in the 100.
• Crossed the line in 21.60 seconds in the 200.
• This is his first weekly honor this season.

AAC Field Athletes of the Week
Nicholas Blann - Union Commonwealth - Freshman

• Placed first in both the triple jump and long jump at the Cumberland Early Spring Meet.
• Posted a distance of 14.28 meters in the triple jump.
• Had a leap of 6.86 meters in the long jump
• This is his first weekly award this season.
