Reinhardt's Biegelmeyer Earns NAIA All-America Third Team Honors
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Rodolfo Biegelmeyer of Reinhardt earned a spot on the NAIA Men's Volleyball All-America Third Team, on Thursday.
The NAIA All-America Volleyball teams are selected by the NAIA-MVCA Executive Committee. The All-America Selection Committee must select players from a pool of candidates from the All-Conference/Independent Teams.
Biegelmeyer helped Reinhardt to a 29-2 overall record as the Eagles won a share of the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) regular-season championship and the tournament title. Reinhardt advanced to the NAIA National Championship Tournament and went 1-1 in pool play, becoming the first AAC team to win a match in the national tournament.
Biegelmeyer, who was named the AAC Player of the Year, led the conference in kills with 377 and averaged 3.59 kills per set. He ranks third in the conference in hitting percentage at .314. Biegelmeyer also tallied 138 digs, 47 total blocks, and 36 service aces.
