Reinhardt Captures 2021 Wrestling Championship
BLUEFIELD, Va. - Reinhardt pinned down yet another wrestling championship, locking up the 2021 Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Championship Meet crown on Friday.
The tournament was hosted by Bluefield.
Reinhardt won the championship with 188 points, edging Truett McConnell who finished second with 151 points. Montreat was third with 95 points, Bluefield fourth with 91.5 points, St. Andrews fifth with 68.5 points, and WVU Tech sixth with 37.5 points.
Trent Leon of Reinhardt is the Wrestler of the Year. He won the 141-pound weight class thanks to two pinfalls and a 7-6 decision in the championship round.
