Week 1: AAC Men's Wrestler of the Week

WALESKA, Ga. - Gio Jackson of Life is the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Men's Wrestler of the Week.

The league announced the awards on Monday.

This is the first edition of the awards for the 2025-26 season. The next set of awards will be announced on Nov. 17.

Gio Jackson - Life - Graduate Student

• Went 5-0 overall at the Georgia Open in the 197-pound weight class.
• Had 1 pin in 47 seconds.
• Defeated No. 19-ranked Jett McCauley of Keiser 8-4 in the semifinal round.
• In the final, won 6-5 over No. 2-ranked Kasten Grape of Southeastern.
• This is his first weekly honor of the season.
