Milligan Sweeps Softball Player of the Week Awards

ASHEVILLE, N.C. - Erin Forgety and Katie Cronin of Milligan are the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Softball Pitcher and Player of the Week, the league announced Monday.

This is the eighth edition of the weekly honors for the 2021 season. The next set of awards will be announced on April 26.

AAC Pitcher of the Week

Erin Forgety - Milligan - Jr. - Rogersville, Tenn.

• Went 2-1 on the week for Milligan.
• Posted an ERA of 1.47 on the week, allowing 3 earned runs on 14 1/3 innings pitched.
• Struck out 6 and walked 2 on the week.
• This is her second weekly honor this season.

AAC Player of the Week

Katie Cronin - Milligan - Fr. - Greeneville, Tenn.

• Batted .733 with a .933 slugging percentage as Milligan went 3-1.
• Scored 7 runs and drove in 5.
• When 11-for-15 at the plate with 3 doubles.
• This is her second weekly award this season.
