AAC WinWon Softball Awards Announced
KINGSPORT, Tenn. - The Appalachian Athletic Conference announced the 2025 WinWon Softball All-AAC Team and Awards on Tuesday.
Ansley Hight of Reinhardt is the Player of the Year, Anslie Pettit of Reinhardt is the Pitcher of the Year, Abigail Wyatt of Montreat is the Freshman of the Year, and Matthew Wright of Reinhardt is the Coach of the Year.
The awards were voted on and selected by the softball coaches of the AAC.
Hight led the league in home runs with 12 and was second in the AAC in average (.474) and RBI (54).
Pettit posted a league-best 1.08 ERA to go along with 16 wins and 125 strikeouts, which are also tops in the AAC.
Wyatt posted a .389 average and scored 44 runs with 18 RBI. She also stole 15 bases..
Wright guided Reinhardt to the regular-season championship and No. 1 seed in the AAC Tournament with a 23-5 conference record.
Sixteen players earned a spot on the All-AAC First Team with 16 making the second team. The All-Academic and Champions of Character Teams honored dozens of other student-athletes.
