Goff Named as UCU Head Softball Coach

BARBOURVILLE, Ky. – Union Commonwealth University has named Kiley Goff as the Bulldogs' new head softball coach. Goff played college softball at Purdue, Maryland, and Louisville, respectively, before spending this past season coaching at Indiana State.
A native of West Lafayette, Ind., she graduated from Louisville in 2024 with a bachelor's degree in Liberal Studies and a minor in Biology. She is the daughter of Greg Goff, who is the head baseball coach at Purdue.
Her collegiate playing career began at Purdue, where she started in 43 of 44 games as a freshman for the Boilermakers. She was second on the team in runs scored (20) and on-base percentage (.382%), while being tied for second in hits (33) and tied for the most triples (2).
Goff started in 101 games during her two seasons with Maryland, while leading the Big Ten as a catcher in 2023 with 13 runners caught stealing. She ranked tied for third in that category in 2022 with 11 runners caught stealing.
She was third on the team in runs scored (25) in 2022, while being tied for the most runs scored (42) by a Terrapin in 2023. She earned Big Ten Co-Player of the Week honors in 2022, while being a team captain for Maryland.
Goff started in all 52 games for Louisville during the 2024 season, while being third on the team in on-base percentage (.437%). She was tied for third in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) as a catcher in 2024 with 12 runners caught by stealing. Goff led the ACC in hit by pitch with 21.
She was named Academic All-District by College Sports Communicators (CSC) in 2024, while also being named to the All-ACC Academic Team. Each of those honors included both academic and athletic requirements.
Goff spent the 2025 season as a graduate assistant coach at Indiana State. In addition to being the infield coach, she played a role in recruiting, camps, film, etc.
"I'm so thankful to be the head coach for Union softball," Goff said. "From the support staff, administration, all the way up to president, we have the best support around. My goal is to develop these young athletes into elite players through hard work, discipline, and one goal in mind; and that is to win a championship. I'm super excited for this opportunity and can't wait to have the whole community come watch some Bulldog softball."
