AAC Softball Awards Announced
KINGSPORT, Tenn. - The Appalachian Athletic Conference announced the 2026 Softball All-AAC Team and Awards on Tuesday.
Dayton Power of Brenau is the Player of the Year, Anslie Pettit of Reinhardt is the Pitcher of the Year, Ava Saul of Bryan is the Freshman of the Year, Emma Folds of Brenau is the Newcomer of the Year, and Dayna Carter of Johnson is the Coach of the Year.
The awards were voted on and selected by the softball coaches of the AAC.
Power is second in the league in batting average (.480) and leads the AAC in stolen bases (47). She has three home runs, 30 RBI, and 61 runs scored.
Pettit posted a league-best 142 strikeouts and is tied for the league lead in saves (3). She owns a 1.68 ERA and is 12-4 on the year.
Saul leads the AAC in RBI with 51 RBI to go with a .417 average, 10 home runs, and 21 runs scored.
Folds boasted a .349 average to go with 28 RBI, 49 runs scored, and 22 stolen bases.
Carter guided Johnson to a share of the regular-season championship and No. 1 seed in the AAC Tournament with a 19-7 conference record.
Sixteen players earned a spot on the All-AAC First Team, with 16 making the second team. The All-Academic and Champions of Character Teams honored dozens of other student-athletes.
