2022 Tournament Bracket Set; Bryan Earns No. 1 Seed

KINGSPORT, Tenn. - After the dust settled on the final day of the regular season, the bracket for the 2022 Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Women's Basketball Tournament is set, and Bryan is the No. 1 seed.

All 15 teams advanced to the tournament, and there will be seven first-round games played on Monday, Feb. 21, at the higher seeds' home site. As the No. 1 seed, Bryan receives a first-round bye as well as an automatic berth to the NAIA National Championship Tournament.

The seven first-round winners will join Bryan in the quarterfinal round. The final three rounds will be held at the MeadowView Marriott Convention Center & Conference Resort in Kingsport, Tenn., on Feb. 24-26. The tournament champion will receive an automatic berth to the national tournament. Should Bryan win the tournament, the regular-season runner-up will receive the second bid.

  7. Truett McConnell (17-13 overall, 13-11 AAC)*
  8. Union (18-11 overall, 13-11 AAC)
  9. Columbia International (14-15, 12-12 AAC)
  10. Bluefield (11-15 overall, 11-13 AAC)
  11. Montreat (12-18 overall, 9-15 AAC)
  12. Brenau (6-19 overall, 5-19 AAC)

*-Truett McConnell defeated Union twice during the regular season to earn the tie-breaker for the No. 7 seed.
