Week 1: AAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week

WALESKA, Ga. - Virginia Edmondson of Montreat is the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Women's Basketball Player of the Week.

The league announced the award on Monday.

This is the first edition of the awards for the 2023-24 season. The next set of awards will be announced on Nov. 20.

• Averaged 26.0 points per game as Montreat went 2-0 on the week.
• Scored 25 in a 54-44 win over Tennessee Wesleyan.
• Netted 27 in a 66-57 win over Point (Ga.).
• Also had 10 rebounds, 4 assists, and 5 steals on the week.
• This is her first weekly honor of the season.
