Week 2: AAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week

WALESKA, Ga. - Destiny Long of Bluefield is the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Women's Basketball Player of the Week.

The league announced the award on Monday.

This is the second edition of the awards for the 2023-24 season. The next set of awards will be announced on Nov. 27.

Destiny Long - Bluefield - Junior - Kernersville, N.C.

• Averaged 32.0 points per game as Bluefield went 1-1 on the week.
• Scored 27 in an 87-85 win over St. Andrews.
• Poured in 37 points on 11-of-17 shooting in an 88-78 loss at Johnson.
• Shot 52.8 percent (19-of-36) for the week.
• Had 17 rebounds, 7 assists, 9 steals, and 2 blocks as well.
• This is her first weekly honor of the season.
