Week 2: AAC Women's Basketball Players of the Week
WALESKA, Ga. - Lana VanDyke of Reinhardt and Jaaliyah Warren of Pikeville are the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Women's Basketball Defensive and Offensive Players of the Week.
The league announced the awards on Monday.
This is the second edition of the awards for the 2025-26 season. The next set of awards will be announced on Nov. 24.
AAC Women's Basketball Defensive Player of the Week
Lana VanDyke - Reinhardt - Sophomore
- Averaged 7.7 rebounds per game and blocked 9 shots on the week.
- Averaged 9.3 points per game.
- Also had 3 assists and 1 steal.
- Had 5 blocks in a 79-62 win over Tennessee Wesleyan.
- This is her first weekly honor of the season.
AAC Women's Basketball Offensive Player of the Week
Jaaliyah Warren - Pikeville - Sophomore
- Averaged 24.0 points per game as Pikeville went 2-0 on the week.
- Shot 58.6 percent (17-of-29) from the field and went 14-for-24 (58.3 percent) behind the arc.
- Also had 3 rebounds, 3 assists, and 4 steals.
- This is her first weekly honor of the season.
