2020-21 Women's Soccer All-Conference Team Announced

ASHEVILLE, N.C. - The Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) released the 2020-21 All-AAC Women's Soccer Team and awards, and Jackie Montes of Montreat is the Player of the Year.

The awards were voted on by the women's soccer coaches in the league.

The other individual award winners include Chloe Rootes of Tennessee Wesleyan as the Offensive Player of the Year, Lauren Bergevine of Truett McConnell as the Defensive Player of the Year, Micah King of Montreat as the Freshman of the Year, and Tina Murphy of Montreat as the Coach of the Year. Montes also collected the Golden Boot as she scored the most goals in conference play this season, tallying 16 in 13 conference games.

Montes posted 17 goals and seven assists on the year for a total of 41 points. She ranks fourth in the NAIA in game-winning goals (6), 10th in goals (17), and 39th in assists (7)
