Week 3: AAC Women's Soccer Players of the Week
ASHEVILLE, N.C. - Laia Roch Font of Tennessee Wesleyan and Ryelyn Wells of Reinhardt are the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Women's Soccer Defensive and Offensive Players of the Week, the league announced on Monday.
This is the third edition of the awards for the 2021 season. The next set of awards will be announced on Sept. 20.
AAC Defensive Player of the Week
Laia Roch Font - Tennessee Wesleyan - Freshman - Vic, Spain
- Recorded 5 saves in a 3-0 win over Milligan.
- Notched the first shutout in her collegiate career.
- This is her first weekly honor of the season.
AAC Offensive Player of the Week
Ryelyn Wells - Reinhardt - Junior - Canton, Ga.
- Scored 3 goals in leading Reinhardt to a 5-0 win over Bluefield.
- All 3 goals came in the first half of the match.
- This is her first weekly honor of the season.
