AAC Women's Soccer Awards Announced

WALESKA, Ga. - The Appalachian Athletic Conference announced the 2022 Women's Soccer All-AAC Team and Awards on Thursday.

Carrie Consolino of Reinhardt is the Player of the Year, the Freshman of the Year, and the Golden Boot Award winner. Eliska Dvorakova of Truett McConnell is the Offensive Player of the Year, while Adriana Garcia is the Defensive of the Year. David McDowell of Truett McConnell is the Coach of the Year.

The awards were voted on and selected by the women's soccer coaches of the AAC.

Consolino, a freshman forward for Reinhardt, tallied 24 goals in 13 conference matches this season. She has amassed 28 goals and 10 assists in all competitions.

Dvorakova, a junior midfielder for Truett McConnell, recorded 11 goals and four assists during conference play and has 12 goals and four in all competitions

Garcia, a senior defender for Reinhardt, anchored a backline that allowed 0.78 goals per match and posted 12 shutouts. She also chipped in a goal and an assist.

McDowell guided Truett McConnell to the AAC regular-season championship with a perfect 13-0 league record.

Fourteen players earned a spot on the All-AAC First Team with 14 making the second team. Dozens of players made the grade to earn a spot on the All-Academic Team, while 13 were named to the Champions of Character Team.
