Week 1: AAC Women's Soccer Players of the Week

WALESKA, Ga. - Millie Conod of Pikeville and Camila Penagos of Brenau are the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Women's Soccer Defensive and Offensive Players of the Week, the league announced on Monday.

This is the first edition of the awards for the 2023 season. The next set of awards will be announced on Sept. 4.

AAC Defensive Player of the Week
Millie Conod - Pikeville - Junior - Walsall, U.K.

• Registered a 2-0 shutout against Rio Grande (Ohio).
• Recorded 4 saves in the win.
• This is her second weekly honor of the season.

AAC Offensive Player of the Week
Camila Penagos - Brenau - Senior - Cali, Colombia

• Scored twice in Brenau's 4-0 win at Point (Ga.).
• These were her first goals of the season.
• Collected the game-winner in the 19th minute.
• This is her first weekly honor of the season.
