Week 12: AAC Women's Volleyball Players of the Week

WALESKA, Ga. - Abigail Brown of Johnson is the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Volleyball Attacker of the Week, while Marissa McMahon of Johnson and Chloie Brinton of Pikeville are the Defender and Setter of the Week, respectively.

The league announced the awards on Monday.

This is the 12th and final edition of the awards for the 2025 season.

AAC Attacker of the Week
Abigail Brown - Johnson - Graduate Student

  • Averaged 4.92 kills per set as she had 59 in 12 sets.
  • Posted a .311 hitting percentage in helping Johnson to a 3-0 record and a share of the AAC regular-season championship.
  • Had a career-high 27 kills in a 3-1 win over Union Commonwealth.
  • Logged 1 double-double
  • Added 20 digs and 7 blocks.
  • This is her third weekly honor of the season.

AAC Defender of the Week
Marissa McMahon - Johnson - Senior

  • Averaged 5.33 digs per set.
  • Posted 64 digs in 12 sets.
  • Collected 29 digs in a 3-2 win over Pikeville.
  • Added 20 assists and 2 aces.
  • This is her second weekly honor of the season.

AAC Setter of the Week
Chloie Brinton - Pikeville - Junior

  • Averaged 10.22 assists per set.
  • Had 50 assists in a 3-2 loss to Johnson.
  • Logged 92 assists in 9 sets on the week.
  • Also had 16 digs, 1 block, and 1 kill.
  • This is her sixth weekly honor of the season.
