Week 2: AAC Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week

WALESKA, Ga. - Heather Murphy of Montreat is the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week, the league announced Monday.

This is the second edition of the weekly honors for the 2025 season. The next set of awards will be announced on Sept. 22.

AAC Women's Runner of the Week
Heather Murphy - Montreat - Sophomore

• Placed 6th at the Queen City Invite.
• Posted a 5K time of 17:15.79.
• Set the program record for the 5K, besting the mark by 3 seconds.
• Top NAIA finisher and top non-NCAA Division I finisher.
• This is her first weekly award this season.
